There’s no better way of seeking out the best food in a city than by asking the chefs. Which is exactly what the author did when he wrote Where Chef’s Eat: A Guide to Chefs’ Favorite Restaurants (2015).

This beautiful, minimalist restaurant brings a creative approach to the traditions of Japanese cuisine. It offers a serene atmosphere and an original menu that will leave you wanting more. The waiters are cute too.

2. TETSUYA’S // 59 KENT STREET SYDNEY

Tetsuya Wakuda’s restaurant offers an inspiring Japanese/Australian menu. The romantic Zen garden in Tetsuya’s Restaurant, sleek interiors and mouthwatering morsels all scream date night.

3. CHISWICK // 65 OCEAN STREET WOOLLAHRA

This causal dining restaurant is set in a beautiful space that feels like home. Featuring a kitchen garden, the menu is filled with fresh produce grown on site! It is the perfect place for that long overdue Girl’s Lunch.

4. ICEBERGS // 1 NOTTS AVENUE BONDI BEACH

This restaurant is Sydney at it’s best, view included. With a menu offering the best of regional Italian cuisine, sit back, relax and celebrate seasonal flavours while taking in that view of  Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach.

Catalina specialises in seafood and has a stunning view of Sydney Harbour. As a family-owned restaurant, it is an elegant fine-dining experience.
